I am an independent consultant in statistics. Since 2014 I have cooperated with the endowment fund IMPULS as statistician for the nation register ReMuS that collects data about patients with multiple sclerosis (MS). At the same time I participate in a research of multiple sclerosis with MS centres at the Charles University Faculty of Medicine and the General University Hospital in Prague, I also work at the University Hospital in Hradec Králové as a biostatistician. I completed my education in the field of medical statistics during a half year internship at Melbourne Brain Centre, Royal Melbourne Hospital, http://www.melbournebraincentre.edu.au/ ) supervised by Dr. Tomas Kalincik, Ph.D.
Moreover, I am interested in application of statistics in finance, focusing on financial distress modelling and lapse prediction models). In theoretical and applied statistics I deal with machine learning, specifically with analysis of micro panel data, classification analysis and regression analysis. A list of all papers where I am main author or co-author is in the Publications section.
I graduated in 2009 with master's degree at the University of Economics in Prague (VŠE Praha), the study program: Statistics and Insurance Engineering. Then I continued to study statistics at my alma mater. I finished my doctoral program (Ph.D. degree) in 2017. The dissertation thesis topic is Clustering and regression analysis of micro panel data. The thesis contribution is a new and original solution for the clustering of micro panel data, which can be employed for pattern recognition (unsupervised learning) in micro panel (longitudinal) data. The algorithm is coded and available in the package CluMP for the open-source statistical system R.
Before I started my own business, I had been working as assistant profesor at the Department of Statistics and Probability, VŠE Praha from 2014 to 2018. I taught statistical courses (Introduction to Statistics, Probability theory, Mathematical statistics and Regression Analysis) in Czech and English. At the same time I cooperated with the endowment fund IMPULS and MS centre at Faculty of Medicine (Charles University) as the principal biostatistician. During my academic carrer I had been proposer (manager) and member (solver) of 8 internal development (IRS) and research grant (IGA) projects.
Before my academic career I had been working as analyst/business analyst in several international companies (years 2006-2014), see more in the attached structural CV.
In my free time I do sport (jogging, swimming, squash and hiking), playing music and wirting poetry.
